As I have given in my
INTEREST web page that I love all kind of music and I have also composed some Ring
Tones for Nokia make mobiles. Some sites also provide these, but all those
tones are made by software so are not good in quality. They also charge you
some bucks for these. I make my ring tones by playing the song on the Casio
Keyboard, then jotting down the notes and finally converting them into ring
tone format and making necessary adjustments. Some of my self made tones are
given below. The only problem here is that you'll have to punch the ringtones into your phone manually.
Let me explain you in brief how to
punch them. First of all open the composer in your mobile phone, then press
the buttons 1 through 7 for notes C through B and the sequence
is c, d, e, f, g, a, b (Correspondingly sa, re, ga, ma, pa, dha, ni
in Hindi Sur set). There'll be one number preceding the note and one number
following the note i.e. there'll be a number before and after the note. For
example 4g1. The number before the tone signifies its duration. The
bigger the number the shorter the notes e.g. the note 4g1 will be
shorter than 2g1. The number after the tone signifies its scale (Saptak
in Hindi) e.g. 4g2 will be higher in scale than 4g1. Following
is a brief description of keys in composer
Keys 1-7
For notes c through b as explained above
Keys 8 & 9 To
decrease and increase the duration respectively e.g. 4g1 or 16g1
(Both for notes as well as blanks. Blanks are durations in which no note is
played,)
Keys 0
To insert a blank (It is displayed as 4- or 32-).
Keys *
To change the scale of the note e.g. 4g1 or 4g2
Key # To make the note mild (Displayed is a Hash # before a note)
Tempo
It is not a key sequence. It is in the option menu.
